We were having day after day of heavy fog rolling slowly in from the ocean. It was really quite beautiful. However, as a watery yellow sun rose early, Melissa and Michael’s wedding day appeared to be the break in this winter weather pattern - a day when the sun would finally find it’s way through the clouds and actually stay for awhile. They made it through a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the front garden of the Cedar House Inn…a garden overflowing with Christmas cheer and holiday decorations.
With a cut of the cake and a toast to a wonderful life, it was time to take some portraits. Stepping outside we all saw it at once – fog!! Heavy and gray, swirling and darkening by the minute - fog!! Quick – down to the Lightner Museum for pictures! There we worked around the romantic mist as the lights came on, capturing Melissa and Michael’s bubbly love and joy. Once back at the Inn, family and friends gathered as their carriage arrived, and waved them off into the heavy night air.
